Uses
Welcome to my /uses page.
Hardware
- 2023 MacBook Pro 14‑inch — 36 GB RAM, M3 Pro
- LG 27‑inch (68.6 cm) UltraFine Ergo 4K monitor
- Keychron K2 V2 — Kailh Box V2 Switches, aluminium case, RGB backlight
- Logitech MX Master 3S mouse — World’s best mouse for productivity.
- Apple Magic Trackpad — for gestures when I need them. Also I’m a fan of MKBHD and saw his setup has this: left hand trackpad and right hand mouse.
- Edifier R1280DBs — pleasure for my ears when I’m working from home.
- Apple AirPods Max — for music and calls on the go.
- MAONO DGM20S Mic — It’s always important for your voice to be heard clearly.
Software
- Visual Studio Code — AI‑assisted coding using Claude Code
- PhpStorm — for PHP development. I find myself opening it less and less these days.
- Warp — default terminal. I’m really hooked to the workflows feature. The newly launched Universal Agent Support like cmux is a great addition too.
- lazygit — I don’t reach for it often, but it’s a great tool worth knowing about.
- Sequel Ace — preferred GUI for database work (I avoid running DB queries from the CLI when possible)
- Chrome — work browser
- Safari — personal browsing. Safari is great and saves a lot of battery when I’m remote and need to conserve power — Chrome just eats through it fast, even though MacBook battery backup is really good.
- Raycast — I just can’t imagine my life without it. I’m too dependent on it at this point. It packs so many productive tools that it’s absolutely worth paying for.
- Notion — really important for a lot of personal notes and databases. The calendar is particularly important to me — it gives a single view of my work and personal schedule, which keeps everything in order.
AI
- Claude Code (Pro) — my go‑to for all coding related stuff. In short, Claude Code is like that needy friend who is much better at coding than me — but it lacks architecture knowledge, and that’s where I come in to guide it.
- ChatGPT — for day‑to‑day general stuff. Really good with writing, explaining how the world works — just a good friend who is great at talking. 😀
- OpenClaw — currently giving it a try, but it doesn’t look like I’ll continue. Check out my log on setting it up if you’re curious.
Desk setup
- Green Soul Trigger Multi‑Purpose Table — height‑adjustable so that I can sit or stand uncomfortably.
- Ultron Premium Ergonomic Office Chair — My 4th chair, still haven’t found a perfect fit.
- Recently, I replaced my Google Home Mini with an Amazon Echo Dot (5th gen)
- A wireless charger with sanitizer box
- 1:41‑scale model of the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 car (2023)
I will do my best to keep this information up‑to‑date. Please contact me on LinkedIn if you need more information or suggestions.
Some of the descriptions here were written with a little AI help. The em dashes probably already gave it away. 🤷♂️
